My stress-free celebrant proces

Your wedding, your way

Planning your wedding should be exciting, not overwhelming! I keep things simple, fun, and totally stress-free, so you can focus on celebrating love (and maybe sneaking in a pre-wedding dance party).

Here’s how we make the magic happen.

STEP 1

Let’s chat

We kick things off with a casual chat—over coffee, wine, or a video call if you prefer PJs over public outings. You tell me about your dream ceremony, and I’ll walk you through how I can bring it to life.

STEP 2

Lock it in

Once you’re ready to go, we lock in your date. I’ll send you an invoice and when you pay the deposit ($250), you’ve secured me for your ceremony date. My Service Agreement also outlines all of the things you can come to expect as part of the service I provide.

STEP 3

Get to know you

Fill out a short survey so I learn a bit more about you before we meet. Try do it together and add in anything you can. You can save it at anytime and come back to it later (not required for Legal Only Package).

STEP 4

I’ll send you an online form that gives me all the details I need to draft your paperwork to submit your Notice of Intention to Marry which needs to be submitted 1 month before your wedding. Don’t stress we’ll go through this form when we first meet if you have any questions and sign it together.

STEP 5

We catch up

Around 2-3 months before your wedding we’ll meet in person or online to make sure all the paperwork is accurate and signed. We’ll talk about who your witnesses will be and what to include in your ceremony.

I’ll also let you know what paperwork you’ll need to bring along.

STEP 6

Crafting your ceremony

With 1 month to go, the remainder of your payment needs to be made and I’ll draft a very personal script (not applicable for legals only) using all the information you have shared with me.

I might reach out to ask more questions or send you the script with some prompts to ask you for more information. You’ll receive your ceremony script 2 weeks before your wedding if not before.

STEP 7

Rehearsal

We can have an online rehearsal with your bridal party and witnesses and anyone else you have involved on your big day at some point in the week before your wedding (not applicable for legals only).

Online works best as it’s often too hard to get everyone together.

In that rehearsal, we’ll run through the ceremony from start to finish and make sure everyone knows what they need to do. I’ll contact you to book a date for this.

If you’d like an in-person rehearsal this is an extra cost. If you don’t want a rehearsal at all that’s fine too - I’ll keep everyone on track on the day.

STEP 8

Some more paperwork

There is one more form you’ll both need to sign just before you get married. This form is kind of like declaring there is nothing legally stopping you from getting married - we’ll sign this prior to the ceremony .

STEP 9

Get you hitched

Theres a few magic words I will have to say as part of your ceremony and some (more) forms for us to sign and then you are officially, official!

I’ll declare you married, and then I’ll leave one of those forms and certificates with you for safe keeping.

STEP 10

Goodbye paperwork

In the two weeks after your wedding I complete all of the paperwork and send it off to Births Deaths and Marriages. This includes apply for the wedding certificate you will require for name changing purposes. It’ll come to you in the post and can take up to 6 weeks.

Ready to make it officially official?

“She managed to capture everything about us”

“Our experience with Jo was 15/10, we cannot recommend her enough! All the way from getting a quote and talking about her services at the start through to post-wedding updates and chats, Jo has been outstanding through it all.

She managed to capture everything about us and make a ceremony and reception that we thought was perfect in every way.

She had heartfelt moments with a dash of humour exactly when we wanted it, managed to wrangle a VERY big crowd of people throughout the entire night, and took all the pressure off us on the night by coming up with fun games to keep the crowd amused!

If you are looking for a Celebrant and/or MC for your wedding, please consider Jo, we promise you will be taken care of and will feel so much more relaxed about your big day!”
